$20,000 Home Run for FSNorth & Twins Community Fund

For the second year in a row, FOX Sports North teamed up with the Minnesota Twins to host a two-day telethon in an effort to raise money for the Twins Community Fund.

The two-day Broadcast Auction on FOX Sports North raised $23,600 for the organization.

The mission of the Twins Community Fund is to enrich local and regional communities by providing resources for the healthy development of children and families.

Production:

The two-day live event took place during an away series vs. the Chicago White Sox and included live hits from the Broadcast Auction call center set up at Target Field.

Reporter Marney Gellner provided bid updates  throughout the game and on-air talent encouraged bids with conversation throughout the telecast.

Short vignettes were produced and shown during telecasts to educate viewers about all items up for bid.

Marketing/OAP:

Multiple custom promos, encouraging tune in to the Broadcast Auction, were created.

Web/Social Media:

Web coverage, including information about all of the items up for bid, was available at FOXsportsnorth.com.

FOX Sports North's Facebook and Twitter platforms were used to encourage donations and create conversation. 

FOX Sports North Girls:

Jenny, Kaylin and Angie were on hand to answered phones and take bids from callers.
