  • FOX Sports Ohio and the affiliate sales and marketing team worked together to plan and host mutual partners in an intimate luncheon with Cincinnati Reds players Jay Bruce and Paul Janish.
  • The event was a joint effort to provide added value to the affiliate partner Insight and advertising partners.
  • An organized autograph and photo session with the Reds stars was followed by an open and friendly Q&A session with the players, moderated by FOX Sports Ohio’s Reds Live cohost, Jim Day.

FOX Sports Ohio Builds a Safe Place To Play

Employee Volunteers Build A Playground For Children in Need



FOX Sports Ohio’s community effort, FOX Supports Ohio, joined forces with the PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., and KaBOOM! on Thursday, May 5th to build a playground for the children of Rainey Institute.

FOX Sports Ohio employee volunteers spent the day working with 200 PNC employees and residents of the local community to provide more than 600 children in the Cleveland community with a safe place to play.

When the news that baseball legend, Harmon Killebrew had passed away broke on May 17, everyone at FOX Sports North sprang into action. Staff across all departments rallied with the passion and urgency of a baseball team in the 9th inning, desperate for a win. Everyone understood how important it was to make sure Harmon, a hometown hero for many, was remembered with the utmost respect. FOX Sports North paid tribute to Killebrew for the amazing ballplayer, role model and human being that he was and will be forever remembered.

FOX Sports Midwest Scores With La Russa and His Doppelganger

When St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kyle Lohse performed a spot-on impersonation of his boss, legendary Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, FOX Sports Midwest was the first media outlet to show the video on TV (on its pregame show) and first to disseminate it via the web. The result was national media coverage and an FSMW record 36,000 video views on FOXSportsMidwest.com.

FOX Sports Midwest continued to own the conversation about La Russa, who missed six games last week while recovering from shingles, with an exclusive interview conducted Sunday while the manager watched his team play on TV.

FOX Sports South Celebrates MLB's Civil Rights Game

FOX Sports Midwest Boosts Cardinals Schools Program

FOX Sports Midwest’s partnership in Doin’ It Right, a St. Louis Cardinals' community relations program that uses sports to teach important lessons to kids, has boosted participation to record levels. Doin’ It Right is a traveling program that now visits over 100 elementary schools reaching more than 40,000 students each year.

Saturday, May 7 was a much-welcomed warm, sunny  afternoon throughout Michigan, a state still thawing out from a long winter.  It was the kind of day to work in the yard, plant a garden, go for a bike ride or other outdoor activities.  Staying inside to watch the Tigers-Blue Jays 4 pm game on FOX Sports Detroit might have been a secondary thought to many.  That is, until word began to spread that a near-perfect day could possibly become even more so, thanks to Tigers pitching ace Justin Verlander...

FOX Sports North Presents $25,000 Home Team Scholarship

FOX Sports North, in conjunction with four team partners, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Twins, Vikings and Wild presented the fourth annual ‘Home Team Scholarship’ to the Boys & Girls Clubs Minnesota State Youth of the Year finalists last week. 
  •  The $25,000 Home Team Scholarship was designed to bring together the sports community to positively affect the lives of disadvantaged youth by providing financial support.
  • The announcement was made by Mike Dimond, FOX Sports North Senior Vice President and General Manager, at the Minnesota Alliance Legislator's Breakfast in St. Paul, Minnesota.The Governor of Minnesota along with numerous State Senators and Legislates were in attendance.

FOX Sports Houston "Plays Green" With Astros

  • Employee Volunteers Lend A Helping Hand To Build Energy-Efficient Habitat For Humanity Home With Astros
FOX Sports Houston joined forces with the Houston Astros last week to participate in the club’s Play Green environmental campaign.


Through its existing partnership with Houston Habitat for Humanity, FS Houston secured a day build for the Astros to kick off the team’s Play Green Week.


For the third consecutive year, FOX Sports Houston employee volunteers spent the day working side-by-side with members of the Astros front office staff and outfielder Hunter Pence to help build an energy-efficient Habitat for Humanity “green home” for a deserving Houston Family.

FOX Sports Ohio Encourages Regional Tourism

FOX Sports Ohio and Cincinnati USA, Cincinnati Ohio’s regional tourism network, have partnered this summer to support the area’s popular tourist attractions.

Jim Day, FSOhio’s co-host of Reds Live pre- and postgame shows, has taken a lead role in bringing Cincinnati Reds fans up close to various attractions with “Where in Cincinnati USA is Jim Day?”



Through this initiative, FSOhio created vignettes featuring Day as he visits the major attraction partners of Cincinnati USA.

The vignettes show Day experiencing the local attractions and highlight some of their special features. Multiple spots were created and will air in Cincinnati Reds Baseball throughout the summer as well as during programming that reaches Reds outer market homes.
