* Chris Coles comes back to Crisler Arena on 25th anniversary of unforgettable state championship-winning shot.* Linear and web coverage includes archival footage and participant interviews to recall 1986 Michigan high school basketball final.
Chris Coles had only two points in the 1986 Michigan Class B basketball final, but they would be among the most memorable in state high school history, sinking a shot from beyond half court as time expired.
Twenty-five years later, Coles returned to Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor to remember the accomplishment with FOX Sports Detroit's Shannon Hogan (view at left). The feature, airing during this year's state championship coverage, includes Coles' attempt to reenact the shot.
On the web, Foxsportsdetroit.com's Dave Dye wrote about how the shot helped Chris Coles reach a goal his father - longtime Michigan high school coach Charlie Coles - was unable to realize.
Additionally, FOX Sports Detroit's coverage of the Coles story received attention by the Saginaw News.
