FoxSportsWest.com Sets New Traffic Record in March; New Writers Help Fuel Growth

The month of March yielded a record number of unique visitors and page views for foxsportswest.com, which has strengthened its team of contributors in recent months by adding established sports writers from the Southern California area.    

Compared to February 2011, March uniques for foxsportswest.com are up 57% and page views are up 58%  

With the Lakers streaking towards the playoffs and trying to repeat the "three-peat," and both the Dodgers and Angels opening their 2011 campaigns, there should be no shortage of stories to fuel traffic for foxsportswest.com for April.  

Dedicated to delivering exclusive content and breaking news, the following writers will be providing year-round coverage for foxsportswest.com. 

*Joe McDonnell - Known for his entertaining, hard-hitting and informative style of talk radio, and renowned for breaking major local and national stories, McDonnell currently provides unique written content and podcast commentary.

McDonnell's debut piece on Ron Artest was the most read story to date with over 250,000 page views.

* Matt ‘Money’ Smith - As the first official columnist for foxsportswest.com, the national radio personality known for his vast knowledge of sports, music and economics can be heard weekdays on FOX Sports Radio's, Petros and Money Show.


Money's columns have been picked up by both foxsports.com and MSN.com

* Mike Martinez (new) - The Santa Monica native has covered sports for the NY Times, San Jose Mercury and Scout.com. With over 3 decades of sports journalism experience, Martinez is also a voting member for the Baseball Hall of Fame.


Currently residing in San Francisco, Martinez will officially join foxsportswest.com in April, 2011.
