The Rangers just completed their best cable rating for a season on Fox Sports Southwest. They averaged a 5.9 rating, which translates to 151,706 homes.

The season boasted nine of the top 11 rated games in FSSW history, but only one came after the All-Star break, which would indicate a decrease in television interest as the team cooled down.

Another note: Yu Darvish started four of those nine, including the top two in April. Five of the top-rated cable games of all time were in the first month of season, when the Rangers finished 17-6 and averaged a 7.6 rating.

And in case you are wondering, the final three-game series of the season at the Oakland A’s averaged a 6.9.
