FOX Sports North Wins 6 Emmys

FOX Sports North was recognized with six Emmy awards at the 2012 Upper Midwest Emmy awards on Saturday, September 29.

Awards

The network was nominated for a total of 23 awards and was awarded six, spanning across a number of different categories:

• Feed My Starving Children: public/current/community affairs
• Minnesota Timberwolves: sports event game-live/unedited
• Twins Town Hall: interview/discussion - program
• Matt Gangl: director - newscast, live or live-to-tape
• Jack Jablonski Story: sports-single story/segment
• Roy Smalley: on camera talent-sports analyst

Exposure

The live awards show (attended by hundreds) was produced by FOX Sports North.  

• The FOX Sports North Girls kicked off the show by introducing the host for the evening, FOX Sports North's own Anthony LaPanta.

Multiple media outlets reported on the outcome of the awards, giving credit to FOX Sports North as one of the top winners.
