FOX Sports Florida Fires Up the Fan Express

With baseball winding down and basketball just around the bend, FOX Sports Florida and FOX's Sun Sports proudly welcomed the Fan Express on its respective maiden voyages through the sunshine state.

Over past two weeks, the Fan Express took its first groups of Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins fans to Tropicana Field and Marlins Park, ushering them in FOX Sports Florida style to their ballparks.

The Rays Fan Express and Marlins Fan Express were both rolled into the broadcast, inviting viewers to keep an eye out for the bus next season:

“The Rays Fan Express was a hit and the feedback from Rays fans has been terrific," said Larry McCabe, Tampa Bay Rays Senior Director of Broadcasting. "Everyone particularly enjoyed the excitement of traveling to the ballpark as a group in such a unique and highly visible way. On behalf of the Rays...thank you to our partners at Sun Sports."

“We are thrilled with the immediate success of the Marlins Fan Express, and have received overwhelming reviews from the groups who had the opportunity to utilize it during the previous homestand," said Matt Britten, Miami Marlins Director of Marketing. "We are looking forward to integrating the Marlins Fan Express into future games and special events at Marlins Park.”

The FOX Sports Florida Girls were on hand, as well as team mascots, a camera crew and more, to enhance the trip for riders.

Plans are underway to roll out the Orlando Magic Fan Express and Miami HEAT Fan Express this upcoming NBA season for nearly half of each team's home schedule. With the bus fueled up and ready to roll, look out for FOX Sports Florida and Sun Sports coming to an arena near you.
