FSKC partners with Royals for Broadcast Auction benefiting Royals Charities

FOX Sports Kansas City helped the Kansas City Royals raise nearly $80,000 Wednesday during the third annual Broadcast Auction benefiting Royals Charities.

"FOX Sports Kansas City helped us launch the Broadcast Auction in 2010, and it was an immediate success. We can’t say enough about how much this helps add to our ability to give to the community or how much we appreciate our partnership with FSKC on this event and others.” --Royals Vice President of Community Affairs and Publicity Toby Cook

The Royals modeled their broadcast auction after FOX Sports Florida's. FSKC provides weeks of on-air promotion leading up to the event. The Royals and FSKC remove team time and OAP inventory to allow more time for auction segments.

FSKC's production team and on-air talent weave the auction into the telecast while keeping focus on the game. Royals guests, including Hall-of-Famer George Brett and General Manager Dayton Moore, visit the booth to talk up experiences up for bid.
