FOX Sports North is proud to support an organization that “inspires and enables all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.”
- Over $109,000 raised at the 8th annual ‘Kids in the City’ event, presented by FOX Sports North.
- Inspirational video produced to emphasize the important role the Clubs play in the lives of local youth.
- Fifth annual $25,000 ‘Home Team Scholarship’ presented by FOX Sports North, the Minnesota Twins, Wolves, Wild and Vikings.
This kid-friendly event took place on April 24th and was designed to celebrate the accomplishments of the Boys & Girls Club youth All-Stars. Approximately 400 people were in attendance, 100 of which were Club kids.

Multiple team mascots and representatives in attendance to - FOX Sports North debuted an exclusive video feature during the program. The feature emphasized the safe haven the Clubs provide to inner city youth and was put together by Marney Gellner, Nicole Kunkel and Ralph Gasow. WATCH:
5th Annual Home Team Scholarship
The $25,000 Home Team Scholarship was designed to bring together the sports community to positively affect the lives of disadvantaged youth by providing financial support.
Scholarship fund is distributed based on “need” and provides “Youth of the Year” winners with funding to accompany him/her through at least four years of school.
The Boys and Girls Club’s National Youth of the Year Program is designed to promote and recognize service to Club and community, academic performance, contributions to family, as well as any personal challenges and obstacles overcome.
