Tampa Bay Bucs WR Vincent Jackson Picks Up Military Families with the Lightning Fan Express

On Friday, February 1, 2013, the Tampa Bay Lightning throttled the visiting Winnipeg Jets by a score of 8-3, but prior to the Bolts continuing their inspired play on the ice, FOX’s Sun Sports, the Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers All-Pro Wide Receiver Vincent Jackson teamed up to inspire local military families off the ice.

Jackson and his foundation, Jackson in Action 83, provided tickets for the game to a number of groups, including but not limited to, MacDill Air Force Base 6th Air Mobility Wing, US Central Command/SOCENT, US Special Operations Command, USO, Army Reserve Medical Command and Support Our Troops. Of the special guests coming to the game courtesy of Jackson, a select few families rode to the Tampa Bay Times Forum in style from MacDill Air Force Base on the Sun Sports Lightning Fan Express.

FOX Sports Florida Girl Annilie, pictured below, and FOXSportsFlorida.com reporter Andrew Astleford joined Jackson in greeting and picking up military family members at MacDill. Astleford wrote an article recapping the experience (READ), while Annilie interviewed Jackson for the broadcast and kept Tampa sports fans engaged with social media updates, which garnered multiple retweets from the All-Pro receiver's twitter account.
