Montoya, a Miami resident, appeared in the first quarter of the Miami HEAT vs. Portland Trail Blazers broadcast on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, for an in-game hit with reporter Kristen Hewitt.
In addition to the in-game interview, FOX Sports Florida, the FOX Sports Florida Girls and Montoya promoted the appearance via social media. The interview received maximum exposure during a game that finished at a 7.85HH rating. The game, which peaked at a 11.11HH, surpassed all prime time programming, including the State of the Union address on local FOX, CBS, NBC and ABC affiliates.
