FOX Sports Ohio Helps Drive Ticket Sales for Cavaliers

On Wednesday, January 4th, 2012, FOX Sports Ohio "took over the Cavs Box Office" and provided viewers an exclusive ticket offer for the Cavs-Bulls game on Jan. 20th.

In just a few hours, the Cavaliers sold over 1,600 tickets with the help of FOX Sports Ohio’s BOX OFFICE BUYOUT.

It was FOX Sports Ohio's most successful Cavaliers ticket promotion to date since launching the initiative in 2010.

In the first of several "Box Office Buyouts" this NBA season, FOX Sports Ohio’s ticket promotion with the Cleveland Cavaliers was a team pleaser.

During the 7pm Cavs-Raptors game on Wednesday, Jan. 4th, FOX Sports Ohio announced a Cavaliers ticket offer exclusively for FOX Sports Ohio viewers. While watching the Cavs, viewers learned of a buy one – get one ticket offer for the Cavs-Bulls game on Jan. 20th.

Fans had to act fast, because it was an opportunity only available during the game broadcast.

In a few hours, over 1,600 tickets were sold, making this the best Box Office Buyout to date. FOX Sports Ohio introduced the promotion in 2010.
The promotion was also highlighted in this week’s issue of Crain’s Cleveland Business:

For the low, low price of tuning into Fox Sports Ohio for the Cleveland Cavaliers' game at Toronto last Wednesday night, Cavs fans could have gotten a free ticket to the team's Friday, Jan. 20, game against the Chicago Bulls at Quicken Loans Arena.

And many did. The latest installment of the “Box Office Buyout” promotion of the team and regional sports network featured an in-game special offer giving every ticket buyer a second ticket for free, courtesy of FSO.
