FOX Sports Midwest hosted the second annual St. Louis Classic on Saturday, bringing thousands of fans together to celebrate hockey in St. Louis. Fans watched the Blues road game on a 35-foot screen while ice skating in St. Louis’ Forest Park, and were part of FOX Sports Midwest pregame, postgame and intermission shows that originated live from the rink.
The event generated ad sales revenue and media coverage and received support from the Blues.

FOX Sports Midwest broadcast its Blues Live pregame, postgame and intermission shows live from the rink and the game broadcast cut to the rink for fan reaction when the Blues scored. Pat Parris and Hall of Famer Bernie Federko anchored the shows from a desk fronted by an ice sculpture, while Jim Hayes, former Blue Tony Twist and the Blues mascot hosted segments from the ice with fans.

The St. Louis Classic earned media coverage in sports and non-sports outlets, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s weekly entertainment guide and Riverfront Times magazine. It was the lead story Saturday on NBC affiliate KSDK’s 10 p.m. news and featured last Wednesday on FOX affiliate KTVI's morning news.
