Time Warner Cable's Weak Response to Demand for Hearings in Padres Blackout

Asked via email if the company would send a representative to Lightner's meeting, Time Warner Cable spokesman Dennis Johnson sidestepped that question but answered a couple others. "We maintain open lines of communication with all the elected officials in the areas we serve to make sure we’re hearing both their concerns and those of their constituents," he wrote. "We always welcome an open conversation, but this is a dispute between two private parties."
Johnson also acknowledged that the company had received a letter from Filner and said, without elaboration, "We have been in contact with the Mayor's Office."
