Launch of Cavs Fan Express A Slam Dunk

FOX Sports Ohio is now bringing fans to see the Cleveland Cavaliers in action at Quicken Loans Arena on the Cavs Fan Express.

Donning oversized images of Cavs mascot Moondog on the outside, the giant bus made its maiden voyage on Fri. March 1st, bringing in a group from Columbus, Ohio (2 hours away). The liner pulled up in front of The Q for the first time where FOX Sports Ohio Girl Sara greeted the fans. Sara spoke with the group leader, which was featured in that evening’s Cavaliers Live post-game show.

Since the launch, fans have been anxious to get a ride on the Cavs Fan Express. The bus has also been an asset for community outreach, bringing nonprofit groups, such as the Nordson Boys & Girls Club, to The Q. Riders get special recognition from FOX Sports Ohio during the Cavs telecast.

The Cavs Fan Express is also scheduled to transport fans to and from Lake Erie Monsters games, as well as appear in the Cleveland St. Patrick’s Dayparade!

So far, the Cleveland Cavaliers are pleased with the program.

“We thank our partner Fox Sports Ohio for their tremendous coverage and fan-centric programming that brings the excitement of Cavs games into the homes of our fans,” said Tracy Marek, Cavaliers senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “With the Cavs Fan Express, Fox Sports Ohio is extending the fan experience from the living room to sitting inside The Q in a very fun and innovative way.”
