FSKC's "University Days at The K" give big boost to Royals sales, school relations

FOX Sports Kansas City is partnering with the Kansas City Royals, Mizzou, Kansas and Kansas State for a second year of University Days at The K. FSKC's promotional support boosts Royals group ticket sales. It also deepens FSKC's partnership with three key schools whose games it televises, and positions the network closer to those schools.

Ticket Sales
* Fans who buy a University Days ticket receive a KC hat in the school's colors.

* More than 3,500 tickets were sold for Mizzou Night on July 13 -- 2,000 more than last year. The Royals distributed nearly 2,000 hats.

"MU night was our most successful University Days event so far. We ended up selling 3,564 for Mizzou Night which is 2,075 more than last year. Gates opened at 5:30pm at Tiger fans flooded the gates to get an opportunity to pick up a limited edition MU Night cap. Mizzou volleyball and soccer players assisted in hat distribution while Truman the Tiger was taking pictures with MU faithful. Football players Brad Madison, who threw out the ceremonial first pitch, and James Franklin were in attendance to greet fans and sign autographs in the stadium.
