* On the final night of the season the Cardinals won the wild card spot with a win at Houston and the Braves' loss to the Phillies. The Cards game ended at 9:30 CT, but the Braves 13-inning affair didn’t end until more than an hour later. Host Pat Parris and analyst Mike Matheny broke down the game and provided out-by-out updates on the Braves. Reporter Jim Hayes secured live interviews in Houston with starting pitcher Chris Carpenter, manager Tony La Russa and general manager John Mozeliak. Then FOX Sports Midwest’s cameras set up in the Cards clubhouse, and captured the players’ jubilation when the Phillies took the lead and for the Braves final out. Players even talked about the team's inspirational tortoise, @TortyCraig. The postgame show ran more than two hours.
