FOX Sports Southwest follows Mavericks to NBA title with local perspective

FOX Sports Southwest pulled out all the stops during the NBA playoffs to give Dallas Mavericks fans a local perspective on the team’s journey to its first NBA title in franchise history. While national networks focused on the LeBron James-Dwyane Wade-Chris Bosh Miami Heat partnership, FOX Sports Southwest offered Mavs fans a local alternative they couldn't get anywhere else:

* Daily Mavericks stories posted on foxsportssouthwest.com
* Live webcasts of Mavs "Technical Foul" internet exclusive shows
* Live coverage of the team's NBA championship parade

When the Mavericks clinched the title, foxsportssouthwest.com enjoyed the best day ever for web traffic among all FSN regional sites, shattering the single-day record by 286% and exceeding the previous high for an entire month by 53%. Both records were held by FOX Sports Southwest.

* FSSW deployed a team of Mavericks game announcers, analysts and former players for its Mavs Live postgame shows and broke into programming after every game in the Western Conference and NBA Finals series as soon as the national network showing the games signed-off.

* One-hour postgame shows featured live interviews from the Mavericks locker room, podium press conferences, game highlights, and analysis from Mavericks announcers and local media.

* Postgame shows were promoted with social media daily Twitter and Facebook updates incorporating tune-in messages, day of game print ads in Dallas Morning News, radio spots, and an FSSW branded tent at all home games on the AT&T Plaza at the American Airlines Center.
