FOX Sports Detroit Social Media & Digital Success at MHSAA Football Finals

FOX Sports Detroit aired eight high school football championship games on Nov. 23 and 24. This season, Twitter and Mass Relevance was utilized to gather content for the broadcasts.
On Monday prior to the championships, we created hashtag wars through Mass Relevance and emailed all of the athletic directors of the involved schools. Over 26,215 tweets/instagram pictures used the created hashtags and were pulled into FOXSportsDetroit.com/fsdprepzone.
During the month of November, the Prep Zone page had 49,395 page views, including 11,892 page views in the two days of the championships at Ford Field. In the week leading up to the championship, we also streamed four games on FOXSportsDetroit.com.
During the two days, our sideline reporter Shannon Hogan tweeted out 141 tweets related to the championships in addition to the 133 from the station account.
A photo gallery was posted to Facebook each day.
The top-rated games were Division 1 & 2 with 1.5 and 1.4 HH, respectively.
