• Uniques, Page Views Soar for Toomer's Corner Arrest Coverage

• Most-Viewed Story in Site's History

As the story of the tree poisoning at Auburn University's Toomer's Corner unfolded, FOXSportsSouth.com sprang into action.  The efforts resulted in the largest single-day traffic in the site's history.


On Thursday, February 17, FOXSportsSouth.com reporter Steve Eubanks wrote a series of stories, which were elevated to MSN.com, and FOXSportsSouth.com partnered with Auburn's Scout.com site AUTigers.com to share content.  FOX Sports South utilized its strong social media platforms to keep fans informed of updates in the case throughout the day. 


"We're checking, but this could be the single-biggest traffic day for any of our local RSNs since they launched," said John Nichols, FOXSportsSouth.com DCM.


Also contributing to the strong website numbers is the ongoing story of Scotty McCreery, the North Carolina high school pitcher who is grabbing headlines on his quest to be the next American Idol.
