FOX Sports Wisconsin Celebrates Brewers Opening Day 2014

For Brewers fans, Opening Day at Miller Park marks more than the return of baseball. It’s a celebration of a favorite pastime and the unofficial start of Spring.

And, for FOX Sports Wisconsin, it’s the start of a new season and a team effort that touches all departments

The FOX Sports Wisconsin Girls helped drive tune in and overall awareness for the Opener with visits to numerous local media outlets. 
Talking points points included the promotion of the special one hour pregame show, the launch of a new Fan Express bus and overall fun--tips for fans  as they prepared for Opening Day.

Miller Park Plaza Activation: FOX Sports Wisconsin wanted to give Brewers fans the chance to showcase their passion for the team. The network joined to Home Opener tailgate scene ane set up a tent/photo booth and encouraged fans to stop by for the change to be featured on the FOX Sports Wisconsin Fan Express.

Elements included: 

• Face painter to help add to the festivities
• Photographer onsite capturing fan photos
• FOX Sports Wisconsin Girls mingling with fans
•  Bernie Brewer mustache giveaways

*Fans photographed at Miller Park on Opening Day will be invited to help reveal the FOX Sports Wisconsin Fan Express in early May.

Programming/ Production

The Brewers vs. the Atlanta Braves game registered a 5.7 rating with additional, strong ratings coming in for Brewers Live pre and postgame coverage.

• A look at new Brewer Pitcher Matt Garza
